What is Knotta?

Kimono is not just clothing - it is a Japanese cultural and national heritage with variations in textiles, patterns, weaving and dyeing techniques, featuring pure silk, hand-painted, hand-embroidered works of art.


We are a group of designers, who started their way in 2022. Our motto is to create modern comfortable clothes using traditional Japanese clothes: Kimono and Obi.

Knotta abaya are all authentic, one of a kind. They have been adjusted by our artisans for easy wear and styling.

Our aim is to give a kimono a second life to give a fusion of Japanese aesthetics with Middle Eastern sophistication.


• All pieces are washed and treated by Kimono specialists and undergo a range of treatments including deodorisation, careful dry cleaning, and anti-bacterial purification.
